Drywall & Sheetrock Repair and Installation
Patches, repairs and new drywall finished smooth and ready for paint.
From a doorknob hole to a full room, good drywall work disappears when it is done right. We match texture so repairs blend in.
Drywall is rarely anyone's favorite project, but it is the foundation every finish depends on. Paint, cabinets and trim only look as good as the walls behind them, which is why we take the time to repair damage properly, match texture carefully and leave a smooth surface ready for paint.

When to call a professional
Small nail holes are an easy weekend fix, but larger holes, recurring cracks, sagging ceilings and water stains deserve professional attention. A visible patch with mismatched texture can look worse than the original damage, and water-damaged drywall can hide mold or weakened material. We assess the cause, repair it properly and leave a surface that disappears once painted.
Common drywall problems we fix
Drywall takes a lot of everyday abuse in a family home. Doorknob holes, furniture dings, cracks over doorways and nail pops are common, and water from a leaking roof, window or pipe can leave stains, sagging ceilings or soft walls that need replacement.
- Holes from doorknobs, furniture or accidents
- Settlement cracks above doors and windows
- Nail pops and loose tape seams
- Water-damaged walls and ceilings (after the source of the leak is fixed)
- New walls, closets and openings during remodels
How a seamless repair is done
Small holes are patched and feathered with joint compound in several thin coats. Larger damage is cut out to clean edges, backed with framing or blocking where needed, and replaced with new drywall that is taped and finished in multiple coats, with sanding between each.
The step most people notice is texture. Many Texas homes have orange peel or knockdown texture, and an untextured patch stands out immediately. We match the existing texture so the repair blends in, then prime it so it is ready for paint.
Keeping dust under control
Sanding drywall creates fine dust, so we protect floors and furniture, use plastic barriers where needed and clean thoroughly before we leave. For larger projects, we plan the work so living areas stay usable.
Drywall as part of a bigger project
Drywall work is often part of a kitchen, bathroom or whole-home remodel — patching after old cabinets come out, closing up after plumbing or electrical changes or creating new openings. Handling it with the same team keeps the schedule smooth and ensures walls are ready for paint and cabinetry at the right time.
What to expect during a drywall repair visit
For most repairs, we start by protecting the floor and nearby furniture and assessing the damage. Damaged material is cut back to solid drywall, new material is fitted and fastened, and seams are taped. Joint compound is applied in thin coats with drying time between each, then sanded smooth and textured to match the surrounding wall.
Once the texture has dried, the repair is primed so paint absorbs evenly. If you want, we paint the wall or ceiling to finish the job completely. Before we leave, we clean the work area so the room is ready to use again.
Texture matching in Texas homes
Most homes in the area have some form of wall texture, typically orange peel or knockdown, and ceilings sometimes have a heavier texture or have had popcorn removed. Matching texture is part craft and part experience: the thickness of the mix, the spray pattern and the timing of knocking down all affect the result.
We test on scrap material when needed and blend the edges of each repair so the new texture fades into the old. After priming and painting, a good repair should be impossible to spot from normal viewing distance.
Drywall and safety
When drywall work is near electrical boxes or plumbing, we take care to protect those systems. Where water damage is involved, we look for signs of ongoing moisture before closing the wall back up. Fixing the cause first is always the right order.
Timeline
Small repairs can often be completed within a short visit plus drying time between coats; larger projects, such as water-damaged ceilings or new walls, are scheduled in writing so you know exactly which days we will be working in your home.
Investment
Every home is different, so we quote each project in writing after an in-home consultation. Your quote lists the full scope, materials and schedule — no surprises later. The main things that shape the price of a drywall & sheetrock project are:
- Size and number of damaged areas
- Walls versus ceilings
- Texture matching required
- Water damage and replacement of sections
- Priming and painting after repair
- Access, height and furniture protection

Can you match my existing wall texture?
Yes. We match common textures such as orange peel and knockdown so repairs blend in.
Do you paint after drywall repair?
Yes, we can prime and paint so the repair is finished completely.
Should I fix the leak before repairing water-damaged drywall?
Yes. The source of the water must be repaired and the area dried first; otherwise the damage will return. We can assess the damage and coordinate the repair order.
Why do cracks keep appearing above my doors?
Settlement cracks above doors and windows are common in Texas homes as soils move. We repair them properly with tape and compound, though some seasonal movement can still occur.
Can you repair a ceiling?
Yes. We repair ceiling cracks, stains and water damage, including matching ceiling texture.
How long does drywall repair take?
Small repairs need a short visit plus drying time between coats. Larger repairs are scheduled over a few days so each coat can dry properly.
Do you hang drywall for new walls or closets?
Yes. We frame and hang drywall for new walls, closets and openings as part of remodeling projects.
Will I be able to see where the drywall was repaired?
Our goal is a repair you cannot see once painted. Matching texture and feathering compound carefully are what make that possible.
